Project Update 01/07/22 and Public Hearing Information

On January 7, 2022, the Ohio Power Siting Board established the procedural schedule in this case. The public was able to comment on the proposed facility.

The public hearing in Border Basin Solar’s OPSB case consisted of two parts and was conducted in person (consistent with CDC Guidelines):

(1) A local public hearing, pursuant to R.C. 4906.08(C), where the OPSB accepted written and oral testimony from members of the public on March 31, 2022, in a session beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Findlay Elks Lodge #75, 900 W. Melrose Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840.

(2) An evidentiary hearing commenced on April 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Hearing Room 11-A, at the offices of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215-3793. The purpose of the evidentiary hearing was for Border Basin, OPSB Staff, and intervenors to provide evidence regarding the application.
