About Border Basin
The Border Basin Solar Project is a 120 megawatt (“MW”) utility-scale solar generation facility under development in Hancock County, Ohio. The Project will generate clean and cost-effective wholesale electricity for the bulk power system with target completion and energization in 2025.
Energix Renewables manages the Project and is presently coordinating with Ohio State agencies, energy authorities and local stakeholders to comply with applicable regulations, construct and operate the Project safely, and deliver all potential economic benefits.

Public Information Meeting & Public Hearing
The second public information meeting took place on August 16th, 2021 at the Arcadia Lions Community Center. Representatives were available in person to answer any questions and provide resources to attendees. Project Location
The Project will be located near Cass Township in Hancock County. Hancock County provided a unique combination of variables for utility-scale solar generation including:
Specification by regional utilities as an area of interest for transmission viability and system reliability
Utility and transmission infrastructure for 138 kV interconnection
Sufficient and suitable land for a contiguous project design
Transportation infrastructure for Project construction and maintenance
Local industry and load serving entities seeking more renewable energy
The Project site comprises approximately 1,000 acres spanning both the Arcadia and Van Buren school districts which may receive direct funding from the Project subject to a County PILOT.

Local Benefits
